In Memoriam: Ernest Borgnine

I learned with sorrow that actor Ernest Borgnine died in Los Angeles today.  He was 95 years old.

I'm not much of a cinema-goer, but I can honestly say I've never seen a performance by Mr. Borgnine that I didn't enjoy.  He was an actor of the old school.  His views on acting are summed up well in this 2010 interview, where he discusses what is, to me, his greatest performance in the classic quasi-Western movie 'The Wild Bunch'.

There are too few actors like him today.  May he rest in peace.

That's sad to see him go.
I last saw him in Airwolf, maybe two decades ago and am glad to hear that he had a long and prosperous life.
